When you need to remove pages
Scanners often add blank backs of single-sided pages. Bank statements and contracts can contain pages you do not need to share, such as terms you already have or accounts that are not relevant. Visa, school and job portals also limit the number of pages or the file size. Removing the extra pages makes the document shorter, easier to read and less likely to be rejected, and it keeps information you did not mean to share out of other people's inboxes.
What happens to the rest of the file
The pages you keep are copied as they are. Text stays sharp and searchable, images are not compressed again, and links, form fields and signatures on the kept pages stay as they were. The new file is usually smaller, because the content of the deleted pages is left out. Your original PDF is not changed; you get a new copy with the word pages-removed added to its name.
Choosing pages quickly
For a short document, click the pages in the preview. For a long one, type the page numbers. You can list single pages and ranges together, such as 1, 4, 10-12. A range with no end, such as 20-, means page 20 to the last page. Marked pages are shown with a red frame and a bin icon, and the summary tells you how many will be deleted and kept before you save.
Private by design
Many online PDF sites upload your file to their servers to process it. This tool does not. The page previews are drawn on your device with pdf.js and the new file is built with pdf-lib, both in your browser. That matters for passports, Emirates ID copies, salary certificates and medical reports. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
Limits and tips
Files up to 200 MB work in most browsers, but very large scans can be slow on older phones. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. If you want to keep only a few pages instead of deleting a few, the Split PDF tool may be quicker, and if pages are sideways, fix them with Rotate PDF before or after.
