What to expect, honestly
A PDF does not store paragraphs, columns or tables. It stores where each piece of text and each line is drawn on the page. Turning that back into a Word document means guessing the structure, and every converter guesses. Ours rebuilds flowing paragraphs, turns ruled areas such as invoice item tables into real Word tables, and keeps box shading behind the text, so you can edit and retype normally. Spacing and fonts can still shift a little, and watermarks are usually left out. It is good for editing letters, contracts, invoices, quotations and reports. It is not a way to recover the original Word file.
Works well, works badly
Results depend on how the PDF was made.
- Good: PDFs exported from Word, Google Docs, accounting software or another office app, such as letters, contracts, CVs, reports, and invoices or quotations with boxed or shaded tables.
- Fair: documents with many columns, overlapping text or unusual layouts. The text is there but the layout needs tidying.
- Long or dense: PDFs over 15 pages, or any PDF where the full rebuild would lose text, are converted with a simpler engine that places text in positioned boxes, so nothing goes missing. Dense tables can also spread over more pages in Word than in the PDF.
- Poor: scanned PDFs and phone photos of paper. They contain pictures of text, not text, so they come out as images. This tool does not do OCR (text recognition).
- Not supported: password-protected PDFs. Remove the password first.
Arabic PDFs
Arabic text in a PDF is stored as shaped glyphs, and some PDF makers store it in visual order rather than reading order. A PDF that is mostly Arabic is converted with a different engine that keeps Arabic words and numbers in the right order; its pages come out as text placed in positioned boxes rather than flowing paragraphs, so tables are not rebuilt and heavy editing is awkward. When the PDF was made properly, the Arabic text is correct and editable. When it was not, letters can appear disconnected or words reversed, and no converter can fully fix that without OCR. Check Arabic documents carefully, especially names and numbers.
Your PDF and the daily limit
Rebuilding paragraphs and tables is too heavy for a phone's browser, so your PDF goes over an encrypted connection to our own conversion server. Contracts and invoices stay private: the PDF is handled in temporary memory, deleted as soon as the Word file is returned, and never logged by name. PDFs can be up to 10 MB, smaller than for the Office converters because a layout rebuild takes more work, and each success counts toward the same 20 free conversions a day, reset at midnight UAE time. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.
