What the labour laws say
Both the UAE and Saudi Arabia oblige the employer to give a leaving worker a service certificate free of charge when the worker asks. Saudi Labor Law Article 64 lists the start and end dates, the profession and the last wage as its contents and bars anything that could harm the worker's reputation or job prospects. The UAE labour law, Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, sets a similar duty for employers there. This generator covers dates, job title and duties; if the worker asks for the last wage to appear, add it to the duties box.
Keep it factual
An experience letter is relied on by people who never met the employee, so facts carry more weight than praise. Use the exact job title from the contract and the real last working day, not the date the letter is written. Keep duties to a few lines that a later employer can check. Leave out the reason for leaving unless the employee asks for it, and never include anything negative: if the relationship ended badly, a plain certificate with dates and job title is the right answer.
Experience letter, relieving letter and reference
In India and Pakistan a relieving letter confirms that the employee has been released from duty and handed over, and it is often issued together with the experience letter. A reference is an opinion about the person, given on request to a named employer. This generator makes the experience certificate; the duties box can carry a short handover confirmation if your company combines the two.
