What a salary slip shows
A salary slip, or payslip, is the employee's record of one month's pay. It names the employer and the employee, the month it covers and the date it was paid, then lists each earning (basic salary, housing and transport allowances, overtime, bonus) and each deduction (unpaid leave, recovery of a salary advance, a loan instalment, an employee social insurance share). Gross pay minus total deductions gives the net pay, which is what reaches the employee. This tool works in exact cents, so the three totals always agree.
Why employees ask for payslips
Banks, landlords and visa or family sponsorship applications often ask for recent payslips alongside a salary certificate, to see that the salary is actually paid each month and what is deducted. Employees also use them to check overtime and leave deductions, and to settle questions at the end of service. A small business that pays a few staff can use this page to give each person a tidy slip every month without payroll software.
Payslip and wage protection systems
In the UAE most private-sector salaries are paid through the Wage Protection System, and in Saudi Arabia wages are reported through the Mudad platform. Those systems use a salary file sent through your bank or an approved agent. This page does not make or send that file and does not report anything to any authority; it produces the slip you hand to the employee. Make sure the net pay on the slip matches the amount actually transferred.
Deductions: take care
What an employer may deduct, and how much, is set by each country's labour law and the employment contract, and some deductions need the employee's written agreement. The tool does not decide whether a deduction is allowed or calculate statutory amounts; you type the figures your payroll already uses. If you are unsure, check with the labour ministry of your country or a qualified adviser before issuing the slip.
English or Arabic, private by design
The slip can be printed in English or in Arabic with right-to-left layout, Arabic labels and the net pay written in Arabic words, whatever language this page is shown in. The company name, address, logo and currency can be remembered in this browser, shared with our salary certificate and other HR letters, so you only type them once. Employee details and amounts are not saved, and nothing is sent to our servers.
