Readable captions on any picture
The classic meme look is white capital letters with a black outline: the outline keeps the words readable on a bright sky and a dark room alike. Each caption here sits in a box. With auto-fit on, the tool finds the largest font size at which every line fits the box, wrapping long sentences onto new lines and shrinking only as much as needed, so short jokes are big and long ones still fit. Turn auto-fit off to set the size yourself. The outline grows with the letters, and its corners are rounded so thick outlines do not leave spikes on letters such as M and W. The Classic font uses Impact where your device has it installed; Bold and Plain use the site's own font, which is the same on every device.
Arabic memes that read correctly
Arabic letters change shape depending on their neighbours, and a line of Arabic runs from right to left. When a program draws the letters one at a time, Arabic falls apart into separate, back-to-front letters. Here the text is drawn by your browser's own text engine, the same one that shows Arabic web pages, so letters join, ligatures such as lam-alif form, and each line takes its direction from its first letter. You can mix an English word or a number into an Arabic caption and it stays in the right place. The tool uses an Arabic typeface for Arabic text, and the CAPITALS button changes only Latin letters, since Arabic has no capitals. Long Arabic words are never split across lines; the font gets smaller instead.
Your own pictures and blank backgrounds
No meme templates are included. Pictures from films, television shows, sports broadcasts or other people's photos usually belong to someone else, so the safest meme is made from a photo you took yourself, or from one you have permission to use. If you do not have a picture, start from one of the eight blank backgrounds, solid or gradient, in square, portrait, story or wide sizes, and let the words do the work. A photo of a sleepy cat, a messy desk or the queue at the car wash is often funnier than any template. Keep memes kind: avoid photos of people who have not agreed to be shared, and anything that mocks a person, a religion or a nationality.
Full size, private, and no watermark
The meme is drawn at the full size of your photo, or at the size you picked for a blank background, and saved as PNG for sharp text or JPG for a smaller file. A transparent PNG keeps its transparency when saved as PNG; JPG fills it with white. Nothing is uploaded: the picture, the words and the finished meme stay in your browser, and there is no account, no watermark and no limit. To brighten or crop the photo first, open it in the photo editor; to make the file smaller for a chat app, use the compressor afterwards.
