Oman Government Services: Gov.om, Ministry of Labour, ROP eVisa and Tax Authority

Oman’s Unified Government Services Portal, Gov.om, is the front door to government e-services, and you sign in to it with your ID or residence card or with the Theqa digital identity app. Work permits, visas, tax and company registration each also have a dedicated official site. This page lists the sites we opened and checked, with what each one handles, so you can go straight to the right place instead of a lookalike.

Quick answer

Start at gov.om, Oman’s Unified Government Services Portal, which groups services by category and life event and uses Theqa or your ID card to sign in. Work permits and worker data are with the Ministry of Labour (mol.gov.om), visit and work visas on the Royal Oman Police eVisa site (evisa.rop.gov.om), company registration on the Oman Business Platform (business.gov.om) and tax on the Tax Authority portal (tms.taxoman.gov.om).

Before you use these sites

Set up Theqa before you need a service

Gov.om asks you to activate your digital identity in the Theqa app, or use your ID or residence card, before you apply for services. Doing this once, calmly, saves time later and means you never need to hand your login to an agent.

Workers: check your own permit and wages

The Ministry of Labour site has quick enquiries for a work permit application and work permit card data, and it runs the Wage Protection System. If an agent’s story does not match what the ministry shows, believe the ministry and use Tajawob or the 80077000 call centre.

Visas only through the official eVisa site

Oman’s online visas are on evisa.rop.gov.om, a .gov.om address. Sites with other addresses that charge extra for an "Oman visa" are not the government. Our Oman scam guide lists the fake job and payment messages reported most often and where to report them.
