Before you use these sites
Federal or local: which door to use
Emirates ID, passports, residency outside Dubai, work permits, federal tax and attestation are federal. Police, traffic fines, municipality, health licensing, schools and courts are usually run by your emirate, so a Dubai resident and an Abu Dhabi resident use different sites for the same kind of task. Dubai visas and residency go through GDRFA Dubai; Abu Dhabi services are collected on TAMM.
Get UAE PASS before anything else
Most federal services, and many emirate services, ask you to sign in with UAE PASS. Setting it up once on your phone saves you creating separate accounts and lets you sign and share official documents digitally.
How to avoid fake government sites
Federal sites end in .gov.ae or use a known official domain such as u.ae, uaepass.ae or tamm.abudhabi. Type the address yourself or use the links here instead of clicking links in messages, and never pay a "processing fee" on a site you reached from an SMS. ICP itself warns about counterfeit websites that copy its name and logo.
